Ministry News

As fall begins, we're excited about the progress on our new projects. Our 30-minute live call-in radio counseling program is underway on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. on WCTN, AM 950, and its website, www.WCTN.net. We welcome your questions by phone or by Internet at the WCTN site or the CSM website at http://www.csmin.org.

And the Life Management Study is officially under reconstruction. We've assembled a great team of youth pastors to develop the teen version of the Life Management Study and another group of technical experts and teachers to upgrade our Internet LMS.

Don't forget to mark October 21 on your calendar for the fourth annual CSM bowling tournament and marathon. And in our December issue we'll have a date for our spring banquet. We already have a speaker-Congressman Frank Wolf. Thanks to the banquet committee working hard to make this event really special: Bob Fredericks, Rick Groux, Myrna Harris, Karen Hembree, Chuck Henry, Anne Hoffman, Larry Hoffman, Frank Lewark, Frank McLearen, Sharon Meisel, Debbie Moran, Teri Phelps and Bud Roeder.

New LMS Versions Under Development

CSM's Life Management Study has been effective in changing the lives of the adults who've taken it. But teens particularly need help structuring their time and finding God's plan for their lives. We have a great team completely re-working the materials to help teens manage their time, set Godly priorities and establish a daily quiet time.

Youth leaders and pastors working on this project include the following: Dan Britton, Northern Virginia area director, Fellowship of Christian Athletes; Will Gaskins, youth pastor, McLean Bible Church, McLean, Virginia; Greg Laible, youth pastor, Evangelical Free Church, Annandale, Virginia; Tim Pinckard, youth pastor, Immanuel Bible Church, Springfield, Virginia; Damon Thomas, youth pastor, Hamilton Baptist Church, Hamilton, Virginia; and Clay Thompson, senior high youth pastor, Truro Episcopal Church, Fairfax, Virginia.

In addition, CSM is re-vamping its Internet version of the LMS. Our upgrade team includes project manager Andy Wen; CSM coordinator and instructor Paula Wilson; instructor Alex Whitley; and technical specialists Steve Chang, I-Chung Liu, and Tirian Wilson.
