Fall LMS Classes Starting Soon
Get organized. Get out of debt. Get your priorities in order. Impossible? Not with a little help from your friends at CSM. If you want to start living your life according to God's plan, sign up for the fall series of Life Study Management classes today. Classes begin after Labor Day. Starting now, implement some new positive habits, and break those bad ones. Don't put off the exciting opportunity to change your life through God's power and the application of Biblical principles. Find out about a class near you. Or sign up for a session on the Internet on CSM's website at http://www.csmin.org. Use the enclosed registration form to put your name on the list if you want to attend a 13-week session in the Washington area. LMS participants spend two hours every week with a trained leader and agree to do 20 to 30 minutes of homework each day. The $95 registration fee covers the student manual, workbook and a copy of Ken Smith's book It's About Time. Sign up with three or more friends for only $75 each. Partial scholarships are also available. Call 703-591-5000 to find out about a class near you. CSM Call-In Counseling Airs on WCTN 950 AM For 30 minutes every Tuesday and Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m., WCTN 950 AM is airing a live radio call-in counseling program, "Life Management with Ken Smith." CSM supporters will want to listen-and phone in their questions to help get the ball rolling. The studio number is 301-983-0950 when calling from the Washington, D.C., metro area. If calling from outside the area, call 1-877-983-0950, toll-free. The new program focuses on applying Biblical principles to managing time and money. It provides practical answers for those struggling with common problems such as debt, overcommitment and procrastination. Those with access to the Internet also have the option to listen to the broadcast in real time via the web-and ask questions via email as well. WCTN's web address is www.WCTN.net. We especially appreciate the efforts of all those who are making this program possible, including: Jim McIlvaine, WCTN Chairman; John Vogt, WCTN President; Regis Vogt, WCTN Station Manager; Pastor Harry Jackson, Hope Christian Church; and the entire WCTN staff. CSM Sets Fourth Bowling Tournament and Marathon Saturday, October 21 Fairfax Circle Bowl America Sign up today to help sponsor CSM's fourth annual bowling tournament and marathon. Corporate sponsorships are only $250 and include a spot on the printed program, space on the exhibit table and recognition in the December issue of Glad Tithings. We're looking for bowlers interested in friendly competition to support CSM. The tournament promises a great time while you raise money for a great cause. The bowling marathon includes a chance to win a wide variety of special prizes such as free bowling games, tickets to children's activities, free dinners and overnight and weekend getaways. Bowlers will enjoy free pizza and sodas while sending balls down the alley for strikes and spares. You can compete as an individual or part of a team. But the best part is having fun while raising funds to help the ministry respond to those who need help in organizing their lives, setting priorities and climbing out of debt. To participate, you just need to line up $500 in sponsorships from friends or relatives who agree to pay $10 to $100. Forms for sponsors are enclosed. We hope to raise $10,000 to support new initiatives and the ongoing services CSM provides. Bowl yourself, bring your kids or grandchildren and recruit your friends. The CSM bowling tournament and marathon is a fun way to involve many people in supporting the ministry. For more details, see the enclosed brochure or call the CSM office at (703)591-5000. We also need more volunteers on the planning committee. So if you'd like to help out with the event, please let us know. And many thanks to Gordon Klooster, John Reyle, Clint Smith, Pat Smith and Ron Zabel who are serving on the tournament committee.
