CSM Welcomes Supporters To June 12 Cookout

Mark June 12 on your calendar for a fun-filled afternoon with food and friends at the 1999 CSM family cookout.   We’ll have a clown, a magician and face painting.  Enjoy all you-can-eat hamburgers, hotdogs and watermelon.  There is no charge.  Come prepared to play.  There will be games for every age including tennis, basketball, tug-of-war, three-legged races, frisbee and kickball.  Kids, grandkids–everyone welcome.

Bring your family and join us at Ed and Dottie Britton’s house in Annandale, Virginia, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.  See the enclosed flyer for details, directions and sign-up.

Remember CSM–Now and Later

If God has blessed you financially, consider giving CSM a tax-deductible gift of appreciated stocks or other assets.  Your gift will enable others to learn to manage their time and money effectively and help them to form a solid foundation for spiritual, financial and personal growth.

You may also want to remember CSM in your will.  There are ways to structure your final financial plan to provide more for God’s kingdom and for your heirs.  Contact the CSM office to learn about your options.  Call 703-591-5000 for details.

Learning for Life

School’s closing for the summer, but it’s not too soon to begin thinking about the fall.  CSM will start its next series of The Life Management Study in mid-September.

This practical, Bible-based course offers a fresh start for those who are procrastination-prone, organizationally-challenged or constantly overcommitted.  You can learn Biblical principles of organizing your time and setting priorities. The course emphasizes that God has a plan for your life, teaches you how to find out more about that plan and helps you begin implementing God’s plan in your daily life.

LMS participants meet with a trained leader for 13 two-hour weekly sessions and spend 20 to 30 minutes each day on homework.  Course materials include a copy of Ken Smith’s book It’s About Time, a student manual and workbook, worksheets and a certificate suitable for framing.  The cost of the course is $95.

Can’t wait for the fall or too far from metropolitan Washington, D.C.?  Then you can take the class on-line through our Internet LMS.  Information and registration are available on the CSM website at www.csmin.org.

If you think your church or home Bible study might be interested in scheduling an LMS class, CSM now has a seven-minute video that describes the Life Management Study.  Let us know if you’d like one of our trained facilitators to show the video for your group and respond to questions.

Don’t Suffer Alone!

Overwhelmed? Anxious?  Deep in debt?  Don’t know where to turn?

If you find your life in disorder, your responsibilities heavier than you can bear or your finances in disarray, you could benefit from personal counseling from CSM.

By telephone or in person, you can meet with Ken Smith to get a helping hand to walk your way and work your way out of the difficulties you find yourself in.  CSM’s nonjudgmental, Biblical approach to financial troubles and organizational problems can help you on the road to a new life.

Counselees begin by preparing in advance for their one to two-hour session.  A deposit of $50 is needed to hold your appointment, but can be returned to you at your session.  There is no charge for the counseling, although the ministry depends on those it helps to enable it to help others.  Call (703) 591-5000 or email the ministry at ken@csmin.org to arrange for your confidential counseling session.
