Glad Tithings

We are gratified and blessed by the generosity of CSM supporters who provided $14,000 to more than match the $10,000 in the challenge grant, for a total of $24,000! More than 100 of you attended the Christmas Open House in early December. Those of us who enjoyed catching up in person owe thanks to Delores Jewell, Ruth Shane, Teri Phelps and Pat Smith for coordinating the party. We look forward to repeating the event this year.

Welcome aboard to Vannesa Henneke and Clint Smith who've joined the CSM board for three-year terms beginning this past January. Many thanks to retiring board members Simon Poljakow and Sam Taylor. We also owe a round of applause for Jeffrey Benya and Kimberly Rattley, who directed the new LMS promotional video. This seven-minute video will help us introduce the LMS to churches and other groups.

Classes are nearing completion for LMS students who started fresh with the New Year in January with groups led by Derek Elliott and Tom Connors, Bill Pile and Linda Gooch and Ken Smith. On a personal note, thanks to all the CSM friends who provided support, encouragement and comfort to Ken following the death of his mother, Katherine. At 93, she had lived a long, full life, and the Lord responded to her desire to go home to be with Him just after Christmas. Appreciation also to those who prayed for Ken's recovery following emergency surgery for appendicitis in early January.
