Andy Wen: Forging Electronic Links
Making the most of the electronic superhighway for ministry is part of Andy Wen's mission. An electrical engineer just three years out of Princeton, Wen is helping to build the links to make CSM's web-based version of the Life Management Study a reality. A member of the Chinese Christian Church of Greater Washington, D.C., Wen committed his life to Christ in junior high. He grew in his faith through various youth groups in high school, then moved closer to the Lord through the Princeton Evangelical Fellowship. Today he's involved in the spiritual gifts ministry and the young professionals group at his church. He took the LMS himself this past summer. He says he's still working to put into practice all he learned through the course. He's still planning and tracking his time and hopes to begin merging his goals with his schedule soon. But he's already committed not to doublebook himself because that's frustrating and ineffective. "I want to focus my time on the things that are really worthwhile," he says. He's enjoyed working with CSM and seeing the Body of Christ in action in the ministry. Wen lives in Falls Church and works for UOL Publishing, a web-based distance education company. Joyful DividendsFrom It's About Time Reader To Whom It May Concern, ....I am currently in the Fairfax Detention Center serving a six-month sentence for attempted credit card theft. I hate the fact that I have to be confined in a place such as this, but I am taking advantage of this time by getting my thoughts together...I'm reading a book about finding freedom from anxiety, It's About Time. So far the book is wonderful...It's helping me to get to know what God wants and how to set my goals better. I feel like if I keep up with this guide maybe I'll have more time to do constructive things with my life... Sincerely, Virginia reader From LMS Participant Dear Ken, I just want you to know how much your Life Management class means to me. It is practical, inspirational and life changing. Your ministry is a great resource to help people change their life in a godly manner. Thank you for your example and your commitment to do what God is calling you to do. Sincerely, David Norman
