Roll a Strike for CSM

Fairfax Circle Bowl America

We'd love to see you roll a strike, or a spare or even a gutter ball! It's all for a great cause. We hope to raise $10,000 through CSM's second annual Bowl-a-thon. Come be part of the fun.

Each bowler gathers sponsors at $25 per sponsor. You can bowl yourself, bring your kids or grandchildren and recruit your friends. You will have a great time, maybe win a prize, enjoy free pizza and sodas and support CSM.

Who knows? Maybe we'll find enough bowlers to form a regular league. Let us know if you would be interested in being part of a CSM league. For more details, see the enclosed brochure or call the CSM office at (703)-591-5000.

Money Management Seminars Return

Due to popular demand, CSM is making money management seminars available once again. Held on Saturday mornings in Washington-area churches, the seminars will be conducted by Larry J. Hoffman, CPA and CSM volunteer teacher.

Seminars will be offered free of charge, funded through contributions of participants received during the session. Following the money management class, those who wish may meet with CSM representatives for one-on-one contribution-based counseling.

Ministry News

Great news! Thanks to many generous guests, our spring fundraising banquet brought in 2 ½ times our hoped-for amount. Many attendees also indicated their interest in the Life Management Study. Our deepest appreciation to guest speaker Howard Dayton who gave a wonderful and encouraging talk and to Pastor Harry Jackson and Ruth Shane who shared their testimonies, Mark Siljander who served as emcee and Nancy Norman who sang.

Two summer events you won't want to miss include the June 13 picnic-free for everyone-and the July 11 fundraiser, Bowling for CSM. Both promise to be fun and festive. So put these dates on your calendar right away.

It's not too soon to begin thinking about a fall LMS class. If you've been standing on the sidelines wondering what the excitement is about, this September is the perfect time to jump in. Take advantage of 13 sessions focused on transforming your life-God's way. Or consider one-on-one counseling over the summer to get a head start on putting your life and finances in order.
