Need help getting your life or your finances in order? CSM offers contribution-based counseling and many helpful tapes and books to assist you in following Biblical principles. You can arrange telephone counseling with Ken Smith or order CSM materials toll-free by dialing 1-800-IDL-TIME (435-8463) or reach Ken at ken@csmin.org. Washington-area friends of CSM can dial our local number--(703) 591-5000. Can You Keep CSM Rolling? CSM staff cars are aging rapidly, and the ministry could use one or more cars in good condition. If you have a car that’s running well that you no longer need, please consider donating it to CSM. It will bless our staff and could mean a tax deduction for you. CSM will be happy to provide the documentation you need to satisfy the IRS. Please contact the office at (703) 591-5000 for further information. Ministry NewsWe had a wonderful 15th anniversary celebration on October 17th at Mark and Nancy Siljander’s home in Great Falls, Virginia. Rickey Bolden, pastor of Southeast Community Church in Washington, D.C., and a former linebacker for the Cleveland Browns, shared his testimony and the difference that CSM has made in his life and in his work as a pastor. Ruth Shane outlined "The Future of the LMS" to the assembled guests. Mark your calendar! We will be gathering on March 12th at the Hilton in McLean, Virginia for the annual CSM banquet. Howard Dayton, founder of Crown Ministries will speak. Reserve your tickets now by calling the CSM office at 703-591-5000. If you cannot join us in person, you can still stay in touch with CSM via the Internet. Find the ministry’s home page at http://www.csmin.org and view articles from Glad Tithings, see a listing of our advertisers and advisory council members and even send CSM email! Let us know what else you think we might want to include on the site. New Life Management Study groups will be beginning in January, and contribution-based counseling is available by telephone or in person for those who need help overcoming organizational or financial difficulties. Call the CSM office for details on both these services and get your life off to a fresh start in the new year. Congratulations to Pat Smith, Advisory Council member of the quarter, and Joe Greico, Glad Tithings advertiser of the quarter. Both have supported and encouraged CSM faithfully for many years. We appreciate you! Thanks also to the CSM supporters who are including the ministry in their wills and in year-end giving. These special gifts enable CSM to move forward on new projects and fill in gaps in funding. Also, as you begin to plan your giving for 1998, please consider making a monthly pledge to CSM. Faithful donors and prayer warriors are the backbone of our ministry, and we can always use more of each. Special Gifts: A Special Blessing Including CSM in your will can help the ministry augment its regular program. CSM relies on regular gifts, particularly monthly pledges, to maintain the day-to-day activities of the ministry. The special gifts left as legacies by those who have been blessed financially enable the ministry to develop additional publications and materials to further extend our help to those who need it. Consider offering a special blessing to CSM by including the ministry in your will. It’s a practical way to share some of the largesse you have reaped from applying Biblical principles to managing your finances and your lives. For more information on including CSM in your will, please contact the office at 703-591-5000, 1-800-IDL-TIME or email kencsm@aol.com.
