Ministry News

CSM now has nine Life Management Study groups meeting, including a second group designed especially for pastors. Leaders for the groups include Bill Pile and Armand Kadrichu; Roland Frodigh and Mike Agee; Ken Smith, Harry Jackson and Steve Gaskins; Ken Smith Delores Jewell and Ruth Shane; Frank McLearen, Mary Doss and Carol Currier; Rick Groux and Jerry Curry; Krysti Doyle; and Simon Poljakow and Bill Pike.

We also want you to know that LMS is going Hollywood! Well, not exactly. But we are very excited about the training video for leaders that Mike Gillette, President of Channel Z Media Group (video production company) and an LMS student, has offered to direct and produce at no cost to CSM. This will enable us to train LMS leaders beyond the Washington area. Then we can respond positively to the many calls from all over the U.S. from folks who want to take LMS at a nearby location.

Thanks to Mike for his help. Kudos also to Bud Roeder, organizer for a number of CSM banquets, named outstanding advisory council member for the winter quarter.

We are delighted to report that CSM received a number of year-end gifts and finished 1996 with a bit to spare after a shortfall in November. Nevertheless, putting the ministry on a firm financial footing remains a top prayer and administrative priority for CSM. We especially welcome donors who can pledge monthly or quarterly. Regular, ongoing gifts smooth our cash flow and help us to plan. Then we can direct our energies toward the ministry God has called us to--counseling, LMS classes, etc. rather than fundraising.

We especially appreciate the encouragement and prayer support of so many of those we have worked with over the years. Your faithfulness and God's provision blessed us throughout a challenging year. We look forward to your continuing support in 1997.
